This Gulf standard is concerned with the standard methods that apply to procedures for obtaining representative samples of bituminous materials whether in liquid, semi-liquid or solid form. Sampling may be carried out at manufacture, distribution or storage sites. Sampling shall be carried out by the methods mentioned later for the purpose of representing a medium quantity of a certain volume of the materials from which sampling is to be made.
